Does anyone have any idea where the serial number is on the ps4. I cant find it anywhere and i need it to register my ps4 for its 1 year warranty. Ive checked on the box and under neath the console.
My PS3 was stolen and I think I have an idea of who has it, but the only way I can be sure the console is mine is by matching the serial number. On the PS4 Serial number: The serial number is 11 characters long. It begins with the letters 'MB' and ends with 9 numbers and is located in the lower left of the bottom of the system.
Like the title says. My PS4 has been stolen during a robbery while I've been on vacation. Now, for sony to monitor the stolen PS4 they need a police warrant. And for the police to send the warrant they need the serial number. Now, of course, the serial number is written on the device itself, and I don't have the box anymore. What I do have is the receipt, my ID, and the MAC adress. Please tell me this is enough to get either side (police or sony) to help me retrieve my stolen things. It's really frustrating, and I hope someone has a solution to my issue.
Edit: Looks like I've fought against the stream here. Even with all evidence of buying the device, they won't give me my serial number. They hold it like it's the holy grail. And they HAVE acces to it, since I asked wether they don't have it or they just won't/can't give it to me and they answered the latter. I'm really disappointed since it was my last straw to retrieve my stolen stuff. The police told me that the laptop serial number (which was also stolen) won't do much good since they can't track it. The only hope was the nonexistan cooperation from Sony. I'm really pissed at their policy which protects the thieves, and I'm really considering not to buy Sony products again (not that I am financially able to now anyways). I'm still gonna go against hope and ask on twitter and facebook a few times, but that's the end of the story it seems.
